Brand Spotlight: Nicholas Deakins

June 17th, 2012

The Vault’s collaboration with super stylish outlet HomeBoy has created a real fashion hub on the high street, with a range of new styles and labels in store – and it’s bought a whole host of new brands to the website too. how to get your ex girlfriend back. how to get back with your ex girlfriend How To Win Back Your Ex Text Your Ex Back FreeHow To Make Your Ex Wife Jealous

tml”>Nicholas Deakins is one of the favourites…

In 1991 Craig Nicholas Tate was studying for a degree in Fashion and Textile and after a summer

working in the U.S on a clothing project, the young student had started to have ideas about creating his own fashion line. On return to his native Leeds, the budding entrepreneur teamed up with friend and fellow fashion head Justin Deakin with a plan to design their own footwear label. Their first line of 500 shoes were priced at £85 and for two young students who were big into the clubbing scene, they knew just the market. “At that time we were all clubbers, going backwards and forwards between Back to Basics in Leeds and the Hacienda in Manchester, and at the time you couldn’t get into those clubs in trainers. It really was a case of the right thing at the right time.” And since its inception in the early nineties the brand has gone from strength to strength; distributing to 13 countries worldwide, expanding its design with a range of clothing and has also made some rather special sized 15 shoes for boxer Lennox Lewis n the past. The brand has stores in London but its flagship store and HQ are in the creator’s native Leeds.

Online at The Vault we’ve got some super Nicholas Deakins shoes stocked. From the desert style Fenrir Boot in Tan and Brown to the uber cool Macy Cord Shoe in Khaki and Navy, Nicholas Deakins have got smart shoes sewn up. For something a little more

casual the Navy Mills Shoe and the Beige Bakare Shoe are really super options. There’s plenty more online too and with a host of options in store as well, Nicholas Deakins are definitely worth the investment.

Combining great British tailoring and with clear mod and indie influences, Pretty Green has positioned itself as one of the brands to watch for 2012. Creating both high quality, causal wear in their Green Label collection and offering ‘classic British tailoring, using fine fabrics’ in the Black Label collection Pretty Green has designed a blend of styles which reach out to a wide range of people.

In store at Home Boy and online here at The Vault we’ve got a super

range of the brand’s products, and with innovative tees, smart chinos and super ‘Madchester’ style jackets in stock, Pretty Green’s latest offerings are…definitely maybe worth checking out!

The Print Dot Tees with the Pretty Green label printed on the front are classic options,

whilst the range of Polo’s and Oxford Shirt’s showcase the brand’s clear Mod and Indie influences. Gallagher’s own style is evident through the selection of jackets on offer – notably the Festival Jacket and the Short Jacket feel like clear homage to the Beady Eye frontman’s own style.

The Miami Influence

May 6th, 2012

Once peasant footwear, espadrilles have grown in popularity. The style was revived in the 1980s, due

to the success of Miami Vice – the shoe was worn by Sonny Crockett (Don Johnson). Our we are saints espadrilles are popular during the spring and summer months and are available in a vast array of colours.
Some of the most comfortable and trendy shoes seen on feet this summer are our espadrilles from We are Saints. Slip-on espadrilles are a classic piece of summertime footwear that is highly popular with every age group these days. Espadrilles are the embodiment of Southern European style and you’ll see them nearly everywhere, worn by the old and young alike during their day-to-day lives. They are comfortable, light, and perfect for wearing indoors and out, as casual but chic footwear. Espadrilles are traditionally made with cotton canvas uppers with Jute or strong woven grass soles but these days

espadrilles can be manufactured from any type of material. But the classic design remains the same: a soft cloth upper, with one piece covering the front and top of your foot, and a separate piece used to keep your heel in place.

GUIDE LONDON_a genuine English brand, established in 1988

April 29th, 2012

Everything began in Petticoat Lane, the famous ‘rag trade’ area of East London where Guide London was a growing retailer which later became a strong brand in the menswear market.

The year 2005 brought further important changes. Isaac Benson, the Managing Director of Guide London, with a deep rooted history in the Menswear industry, reformed

Grooming GUIDE: Close shave

April 29th, 2012

This week we have introduced some sharpe looking shirts from Guide London. This latest addition The Vaults collection see a more smarter, slicker look entering the store. Detailed finishes to the collar and cuffs offer up a unique finish that is sure to draw attention. Our favourite is the Blue and White striped shirt with its unique double button collar finish. Add that to some of the dress shoes online, likes of Henri Lloyd and Base London. In particular the Tabley Boot Brown (Henri Lloyd) and the Globe Loafer in Brown and Dark Brown (Base London).

With all that in mind its time that we smartened up a bit and have sought some grooming advice from the King Of Shaves.

1. Forget everything you know!
Lots of lather does not equal a good shave. Foam sitting on top your skin does nothing so move on!

2. Don’t shave as soon as you get up.
Have breakfast first. Give your skin a chance to wake up!

3. Ideally, shave in the shower or bath.
The hot, steamy environment will help to soften the

canadian pharmacy no prescription

bristles, making shaving easier. On average it takes 3 to 4 minutes for stubble to ‘wet out’ properly making it easier to shave. If you prefer the old fashioned water in a bowl (or sink!) method, wash your face first with plenty of hot water to ensure those bristles are soft.

4. Spend time preparing your

research paper writing

skin.
Prime your skin for a great shave by using a deep cleansing non-soapy face wash and alternate twice a week with a gentle face scrub. Spend a little time massaging your chosen shaving preparation into your face as this again will help to soften and lift the bristles.

5. Ensure you have a clean sharp blade and shave using short strokes.
It’s key to shave in the direction of your hairs’ growth – generally speaking this is down on the cheeks and chin and upwards on the neck. If you are at all unsure, run your finger across your stubble to see which direction the hair is growing. Shaving against the direction of hair growth is the primary cause of razor burn, redness and rashes. Take special care around the sensitive neck area.

6. Rinse the blade regularly.
Rinse the blade thoroughly as you shave and don’t press to hard against the skin.

7. Rinse your face thoroughly.
If using a shaving gel or foam, rinse your face thoroughly with cool water and pat dry (don’t rub). If using a King of Shaves shaving oil, simply pat your face dry.

8. Apply a post shave product.
Afterwards protect your skin with a moisturiser, balm or post-shave recovery gel as this will leave your skin feeling smooth, supple and soft – not tight and dry!

Innovative and expressive, the ever influential independent design label has come up with some really quirky cool tees that you’ll definitely want to check out. With focus on the ladies so on point right now, it’s little wonder the team at Ringspun have managed to create a collection truly unique. The Knowhere tees picturing two smoking hot girls on motorbike, in a distressed black and white image and framed with a vintage camera film look, is a guaranteed winner this season. Glamorous ladies swarm many other tees in the collection with the Double Barrel number being quite the eye catcher. Two naked ladies waking down a street are seen from behind – kitted out military style; guns, helmets and rounds on this black and white tee making it a real chic, cool

number on offer. Our favourite Ringspun offering is probably the War Trophy tee. Again with a military focus, it pictures a stunning model with some ammunition rounds on her body and with a helmet in the American flag colours, the contrast between black and white and the bold colours Ringspun are synonymous with make it a must have for 2012.

Together with Ringspun’s super fresh collection, we’ve got a whole host of other brands offering up
